Apple, a company that started in 1976, is now one of the most recognizable and leading brands in the world, responsible for the rise of the smartphone with its iPhones. Valued at over $2 trillion in 2021, it is also one of the most valuable technology companies in the world.

We often see people buying one product after the other every year. Like, if somebody gets an iPhone 12 when it launched, they are still ready to get the latest iPhone model the next year.

The question is, How does Apple convince people to buy every latest model even though its value just keeps getting higher and even when people don’t need it? And this is exactly where we learn how to sell our ideas, just like Apple markets their products.

Well, good for us, they already told us the answer: “Everything we do, we believe in challenging the status quo. We believe in thinking differently. The way we challenge the status quo is by making our products beautifully designed, simple to use, and user-friendly. We just happen to make great computers. Want to buy one?”

And how do they do that?

They do it by designing the product beautifully with a minimalistic approach making it simple to use and user-friendly.

Like?

Ipad Pro’s tagline was “Anything you can do, you can do better”

And who wouldn’t want to do better?

Now, Apply this to your ideas!

Apple does not tell you their products are awesome, instead, they will tell you Why you need them.

Therefore, whenever you’re presenting your ideas, instead of telling them what you’re going to do, tell them this :

  • Why do they need your idea
  • How will it benefit them

Once you have this ready in your pitch, you’ll be making them an offer they can’t refuse.

Let us know if this was helpful for you in the comments!
